PRP/PRF

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is blood plasm that has been enriched with platelets, also know as "liquid gold". It contains growth factors and cytokines that stimulate collagen formation, revascularization and healing of bone and soft tissue. PRP helps with tissue rejuvenation and it is free of side effects. PRP is used in procedures like hair loss treatments and vampire facials.

Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is an advanced regenerative treatment that uses a small sample of your own blood to promote natural healing, collagen production, and tissue rejuvenation. Rich in platelets, growth factors, and fibrin, PRF gradually releases these healing components over time, making it an effective option for skin rejuvenation, under-eye restoration, and hair restoration.

PRP

How it works?

PRP

  1. Blood Draw:

    • A small amount of blood is drawn from your arm, similar to a routine blood test.

  2. PRP Preparation:

    • The blood is placed in a centrifuge, which separates the platelets from the rest of the blood components, creating the platelet-rich plasma.

    • The PRP is extracted and by the use of U225 gun that we use for mesotherapy, reintroduced in the mid layers of the skin.

  3. Application:

    • Injections: The PRP is injected into the target area (e.g., face, scalp) using fine needles.

    • Microneedling (Optional): In some cases, microneedling may be used in conjunction with PRP to enhance absorption.

  4.  Comfort:

    • A topical numbing cream may be applied to minimize discomfort during injections. Most patients report mild to moderate discomfort.

PRF

  1. Blood Draw:

    • A small amount of blood is drawn from your arm, similar to a routine blood test.

  2. PRF Preparation:

    • The blood is placed in a specialized centrifuge and spun at a lower speed than PRP, allowing for the collection of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), which contains a high concentration of platelets, growth factors, white blood cells, and fibrin.

    • Because no anticoagulants or additives are used, PRF forms a natural fibrin matrix that gradually releases growth factors over time to support tissue regeneration and collagen production.

  3. Application:

    • Injections: PRF is injected into the target area (e.g., under-eyes, face, scalp) using fine needles or a cannula.

    • Microneedling (Optional): In some cases, PRF may be combined with microneedling to enhance penetration and stimulate additional collagen production.

  4.  Comfort:

    • A topical numbing cream may be applied to minimize discomfort during injections. Most patients report mild to moderate discomfort.

procedure

More Info

  • Recommended protocol is 3-4 sessions at 4-6 week interval.

  • Improvement in skin texture is seen in the first month. Maximum collagen regeneration occurs around 3 months after the initial treatment. Results are typically maintained for 18-24 months.

  • With virtually no downtime needed and being a relatively safe technique with very little chance of reaction to the plasma, this procedure is ideal for anyone who is worried about injecting foreign substances into their body.

  • Risks are generally mild and may include temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising, or discomfort at the treatment site. As with any injection-based procedure, there is a small risk of infection or bleeding.
